Updated : Apr 25, 2026

The Mumbai Police’s Anti-Narcotics Cell has officially cleared actors Shraddha Kapoor and Nora Fatehi, along with Siddhant Kapoor and Orhan Awatramani, of any involvement in a 2022 drug trafficking case. The development brings a close to the public speculation that surrounded the celebrities following their initial implication.

The investigation was initiated after the arrest of an alleged drug trafficker, Mohammad Salim Mohammad Suhail Shaikh. During police interrogation, the accused claimed to have supplied illegal substances at gatherings attended by these public figures. This led to a formal inquiry, with the actors being summoned and questioned by authorities to verify the allegations.

However, following a comprehensive investigation, the authorities concluded that there is no corroborating evidence to substantiate the claims made by the accused. Law enforcement officials clarified that the mere mention of a name during an interrogation, without supporting physical or transactional proof, is insufficient grounds for legal action.

Consequently, the police are preparing to file a supplementary chargesheet that will explicitly exclude the names of Shraddha Kapoor, Nora Fatehi, and the others. This official exoneration effectively clears their names from the inquiry, resolving the matter completely.
